Broker Associates | Bridge Street Office

Paul Gotthelf & Kendal Beer

“We bring a uniquely effective, mixed set of skills to achieving exceptional results for our buyers and sellers thanks to Paul’s old-school style of picking up the phone and getting things done and Kendal’s understanding of technology and how to use the most cutting-edge marketing tools to achieve great results for all of our clients.”

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Paul moved to the Vail Valley in 1976 where he quickly fell in love with the mountain lifestyle and decided to make it his permanent home. A silversmith by trade, he opened a small watch and jewelry repair stand in the Village which he grew into a world-class business with four locations and over 30 employees spanning Denver, Vail and Beaver Creek. After selling the company in 2007, Paul was approached by Rod Slifer to join the Slifer Smith & Frampton flagship office on Bridge Street. He quickly became one of the top producing brokers, earning the company’s Rising Star award his first year, and ranking at the top of the sales leaderboard for many years.

As a broker, Paul is a force to be reckoned with, bringing a trifecta of real-world skills that ensure success for all of his clients. This includes mechanical and electrical building systems knowledge from construction jobs in his early years and his more recent new home builds and extensive remodels. On the business side of things, he spent 30 years negotiating high-end jewelry sales. And as a former business owner in Vail Village he’s built a vast network and deep knowledge of the local real estate market. The result is an old-school approach to getting things done. He’s the first to pick up the phone, make a connection and find a way to solve a challenging problem. This hands-on approach and unique point of view on real estate sets Paul apart, enabling him to provide clients with an unparalleled level of service, alongside his daughter Kendal, the other half of this dynamic real estate duo.

A Vail Valley native, Kendal has deep roots here, and an even deeper appreciation for the work it takes to achieve real results in a small mountain resort community like Vail. As the daughter of two business owners, she learned early on that it takes diligence, resilience, creativity and hard work to succeed. Prior to beginning her real estate career she worked for many family-run local businesses throughout Eagle County including the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, Gorsuch and The Golden Bear.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Kendal holds a degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado. Post-graduation, she ventured to Costa Rica to deepen her understanding of sustainable development where she ignited a newfound interest in visual communication, leading her back to academia for her second degree in Graphic Design from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design (2020).

Joining Slifer Smith & Frampton as an Office Marketing Coordinator in 2021, Kendal swiftly advanced to the role of Licensed Assistant for some of the company’s top-producing brokers. Now part of this father-daughter team, she brings a technology-forward approach to their marketing arsenal utilizing tools like social media and email marketing to expertly market their clients’ for-sale properties and seek out opportunities for their buyers. At the core of it all, she credits her integrity, hard work, and meticulous attention to detail as the foundation of their top-notch client service.

When not hard at work, you’ll find Paul and Kendal nordic skiing, backcountry skiing, biking, boating, camping, traveling, designing jewelry and sculptures, hiking with their dogs, and enjoying the outdoors whenever possible. They also love entertaining friends and family, whether it’s catching a show at the Vilar or staying home for woodfired pizzas straight from the oven Paul built in his front yard and Kendal’s childhood home.
